Dr Suma Sukumar - Oral Medicine Specialist

Dr. Suma Sukumar completed her undergraduate training in Adelaide and has completed her postgraduate specialist training in the field of Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology at the University of Sydney. She currently works as a conjoint Staff Specialist in Oral Medicine (Westmead Hospital) and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. She is involved in clinical and academic teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students as well as dental officers.

She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and a member of the Australasian and European Academies of Oral Medicine.

 Dr. Sukumar has undertaken research into Sjögren’s syndrome at Westmead Hospital and continues to be involved in clinical research at this institution.
