Do I need a referral to see one of the specialists at Macarthur Surgical Centre?
To organise a consultation, you will need a referral from your General Dentist, Specialist, Orthodontist or General Medical Practitioner. We will also need a current full mouth X-ray (OPG) or Cone Beam CT Scan. Please bring your Medicare details and Private Health Insurance details (if you are a member) to your initial visit.
Can I receive a quote over the phone?
Quotes can be provided over the phone for consultations and we can give you an estimate of costs for commonly performed general procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions. A consultation however will be required to obtain a personalised quote with associated item numbers.
I do not have Private Health Insurance, can I still be treated?
Treatment is certainly available to patients with or without private health insurance. You will be provided with a quote for surgical fees and our anaesthetic options available.
Can I have surgery at the same time as my consultation?
Consultation and treatment bookings are two separate appointments. We will however take into consideration emergency cases. This will need to be discussed with our receptionist at the time of booking.
What anaesthetic options are available?
Your specialist will discuss the anaesthetic option suitable for your personal needs and individual surgery required. You will be as comfortable and pain free as possible. In general, all cases can be performed either under: LA (local anaesthetic) or I.V sedation (Intravenous sedation) here in our private rooms or under GA (General Anaesthetic) at either Campbelltown Private Hospital or Nepean Private Hospital.
